Salvation Army Toy Shop, Raleigh 1930's
Toy Shop 2012
Thank you for helping to make Christmas during our 125th Anniversary the most special one yet! More children than ever in Wake County were given gifts to open on Christmas morning, thanks to YOUR donations – over 8,700 children had a brighter Christmas this year, and we are very thankful to all of our partners who made this happen!
Look for more pictures, stats, and videos to come from this Christmas season!
The Salvation Army, as a part of its 125th Anniversary Celebration, is holding it’s first-ever MOST Amazing Race event on August 25th!
The MOST Amazing Race is a scavenger-hunt-like race patterned after the TV show “The Amazing Race”, and features teams of two completing mental & physical challenges at popular locations throughout downtown Raleigh (including Marbles Kids Museum, Krispy Kreme, & more)! The MOST Amazing Race is also a fund-raising event benefiting The Salvation Army of Wake County’s Community Center, which provides after-school care, athletic programs, & summer camps for at-risk children. The first place team will receive a grand prize of $2500, presented by Baker Roofing Company!

This Spring, Donate to The Salvation Army and Your Gift (and Your Impact) will be Doubled!
The Stewards Fund, a private local fund focused on meeting social needs and supporting the work of human service agencies, has awarded The Salvation Army a $125,000 Matching Grant Opportunity in honor of it’s 125th Anniversary in Wake County. But in order to receive 100% of the funds, we must raise the money! You can help by making a gift today. Your donations are “Doing the Most Good” in our community!

Like decorating, painting, sculpting, or just art in general? Decorate a kettle for our 1st Annual “Kettles on Parade”, a Community Art Project and Contest!
Groups, individuals and families are encouraged to participate! Adopt a kettle, decorate it with a theme that represents your group, your city, or any other relevant theme, and then raise “votes” or funds for your kettle during the month of March and April!
Winners for art design will be announced at our 125th Anniversary celebration dinner on May 17th at the Raleigh Convention Center. The top fundraising group, also based on “votes” that come into the kettles during the dinner, will be announced the following week.
